The annual Bill of Rights Day Celebration will be held on December 15, 2001 at the Pulliam Building 524 North Cleveland from Noon until 10:00 PM. The evening event will include a history lesson on the events leading up to the ratification of the Bill of Rights. The evening will be topped off with an Old Fashioned Colonial Christmas concert featuring the Northern Colorado Fife and Drum Corps. The tragedy that befell our nation on September 11, 2001 has left a gaping hole in our way of life. Uncertainly about the future is foremost in everyone’s mind. There are many scenarios that could possibly play out. Are you prepared? Are you concerned that our Rights are being stripped away? Will restricting our Rights make us safer? The Founding Fathers knew that the key to a strong nation was individual sovereignty and a limited government. Government’s only purpose is to ensure our liberty from all enemies foreign and domestic. There will be activities throughout the afternoon, such as: A mock caucus. Find out how politics works and how you can get involved to make a difference. The NRA's Eddie Eagle program for children from 6 to 9 years old. Ensure your child's safety by educating them. This is sponsored by The Second Amendment Sisters who believe in firearm safety for children and adults. A demonstration on hand reloading for those who want to learn the various methods of this fine art. A discussion of Colorado firearms laws. A meeting of Colorado members of the popular web site FreeRepublic.com. There will also be information tables set up by various groups.
