Thomas J. Aron left a law career to pursue a life of writing.
His newspaper reporting was honored by the Colorado Press Association
in 1989. For years he wrote a water resource column titled HEADGATE.
Fiction writing, however, is his primary joy. One of his short stories
was published in Xanadu, the literary journal of Doane College, and was
honored by republication in the Doane 40 Year Anthology. His first novel,
The Dam, was published for local distribution in 1996.
Born and raised in Crete, Nebraska, his love affair with the Estes Park
area began in the 1940's. His association with Cheley Colorado Camps
started in 1949. He and his family also have long-standing ties to the
YMCA of the Rockies. He can be found in the company of campfire counselors,
fisherman, tellers of tall tales and other colorful liars most anywhere.
