JUST SAY NO

In the health care debate everyone seems bent on arguing over purposefully vague details of the health care bills that are proposed. The real issue is whether government run health care is even constitutional as there is no reference to health care in the Constitution.

Government got its foot in the door with the Social Security Act of 1935. Intended to help a few with a low tax rate, it expanded to the point of making Americans dependent on the government instead of being self sufficient and controlling our own futures.

If any government health care reform is passed into law we can expect more intrusion into our personal lives as the years pass. We are headed for socialism on a fast moving train. Every thing that our Founders created and veterans of every war since have given their lives to protect will all be for naught. The experiment in individual freedom will be over!

Democrats have been creating bogeymen to promote this take over. They have made villains of doctors, insurance companies, and freedom loving Americans that dare voice their opinions against the plan.

Many Republicans have fallen into the plan to get something passed this year. They are developing their own watered down version. The Democrats do not care so much what is in the bill as long as the government gets its foot in the door.

Start with sensible reform health care cost. Surgically remove problems with the current system. President Obama stated that he could pay for two thirds of the plan by cutting out the fraud in the current Medicare plan. Do that first before implementing another bureaucracy. Then work on some meaningful TORT reform so that doctors don’t have to order every test under the sun so they are not sued?

The Bill of Rights is not a definition we have a ‘Right’ to, but rather clear-cut definitions of the limits of government to intrude in the lives of people as they pursue happiness.

Just say no to any government interference in our liberty!
