Modern Day Lions

America was founded on the principles of Christianity and has veered off course for several decades. The main reason is that less than half of all professing Christians vote in most elections. Many that do do not consider their biblical values when voting. They often choose candidates whose values are different than their own values, convictions, and beliefs.

Noah Webster, a Founding Father said "When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers just men who will rule in the fear of God. The preservation of a republican government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect this duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted."

In ancient Rome, Christians professing their faith were fed to the lions for entertainment. Today, the news is filled with stories that trash Christian beliefs and those professing them. How long before history repeats itself and Christians must hide for fear of persecution?

Christians can take action now to ensure that their children do not have to face the lions. Vote and pray for our leaders.
